Standard gravitational parameter — where it appears

The product GM of the gravitational constant and a body's mass, which is what an orbit measures and is known far better than either factor alone. For the Sun it is known to eleven digits while the mass in kilograms is known to five, because the gravitational constant is the least well measured constant in physics.
